Drexel's Master of Science in Nursing - Contemporary Nursing Faculty program prepares students for careers as nursing educators in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings such as hospitals, community centers, corporate offices and philanthropic organizations.The Master of Science in Nursing - Contemporary Nursing Faculty integrates theories specific to critical thinking, adult learning, curriculum design and evaluation of courses and programs, both classroom and clinical techniques, and the preparation for the role of the nursing professor. This program is unique in its instruction of students on how to teach online and use technology to teach nursing in innovative ways. The two culminating practicals provide students with opportunities to put what has been learned into practice.
Applicants to this program must have a Bachelor's degree (major in nursing) from an NLN-accredited program, GPA of at least 3.0 (applications from R.N.'s who hold a non-nursing baccalaureate degree are considered on an individual basis), copy of RN license.
