The Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion - Sport Psychology program was designed for health / fitness professional, personal trainer, educator, military professional, coach, and others to gain knowledge from the psychological perspective to enhance their current practice behavior and use an all-inclusive approach to recovery.
Courses in this program will provide information to assist the health care professionals and others to identify precursors to injury, affects of injury and rehabilitation and recovery, performance enhancement and intervention methods, and incorporate referrals.
Courses include:
- Special Topics in Sport Psychology
- Psychological Aspects of Sport Injury and Rehabilitation
- Psychological Perspectives in Sport Performance Enhancement
- Intervention and Research in Sport Psychology.
Applicants to this program must have a bachelor's degree from a four year accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (candidates with a 2.5-3.0 GPA will be considered if they submit two professional letters of recommendation) to be acceptance to the School of Graduate Studies and Research
