The Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion - Sport Performance Training & Injury Prevention degree has been designed for working professionals and recent bachelor's degree graduates in the health and fitness industry, including certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, health and physical education teachers, chiropractors, personal trainers, business owners, wellness counselors, military personnel, and other health / fitness careers.
The university has worked closely with the National Academy of Sports Medicine to develop outstanding course content. The program's length is 12 consecutive months, and includes courses such as: Research in Performance Enhancement, Performance Enhancement in Physical Activity, Performance Enhancement Program Design, Current Topics in Performance Enhancement
Students in this program work, learn, and communicate online and function as a group of interactive peers. This virtual collective creates a lively, dynamic educational experience.
Applicants to this program must have a bachelor's degree from a four year accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (candidates with a 2.5-3.0 GPA will be considered if they submit two professional letters of recommendation) to be acceptance to the School of Graduate Studies and Research
