Description

This online Master of Education in Technology Integration teaches the use of technology to improve student learning the classroom. Teachers in this online program will evaluate the tools they have available, and create a plan for ongoing skills improvement for themselves and their students.

Individuals in this program will learn to use the technology they have to actively engaged students in learning, inherently manage student behavior and create dynamic curriculum by tapping into their students' natural motivations.

Graduates from this program will have also learned to utilize technology to assist in collaborating and establishing interpersonal relationships with other professionals. Technology that is covered in the program includes: podcasting, wiki's, blogs, Microsoft Photo Story, electronic portfolios and more. Students of this online program will also be given the option to learn how to create and teach their own online courses in a Virtual School environment. This program is aligned with the NETS-T Standards (National Education Techology Standards for Teachers) as well as the NBPTS standards (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).

All applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, a current teaching license and must be teaching in a classroom.
