Description

Students in this online Master of Education in Special Education (With IR and Cert) degree from Grand Canyon University will partake in a program that has been specifically created to be a cross-categorical program that will aid them in meeting the special needs of children in K-12 settings.

As a student in this online special education degree program, individuals will work with experienced instructors as they seek to earn their teaching certification.

This online secondary education degree program has been specifically created for adult learners, and offers courses that will cover topics, such as learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and other physical and cognitive impairments.

Graduates of this online degree in secondary education will be prepared for working with special needs populations and implement individualized educational plans to accommodate the various learning needs.

Students must have access to a K-12 special education classroom to complete the program assignments. Students must complete a full time 16 week student teaching component. The student should consult the Grand Canyon University Catalog and academic advisor on current policies and procedures in a teacher-credentialing program.
