Grand Canyon University's online Master of Education in Elementary Education (With IR and Cert) degree offers its students a flexible program that will enable them with the education and certification that is required for succeeding as a teacher at the elementary level.

Throughout the course of this online program students will work with educational experts to gain the knowledge that is needed for teaching grades K-8, this includes working with them to earn their Institutional Recommendation and Teaching Certification.

This fully online elementary education degree program has been specifically created for Adult learners, and will guide students in their understanding of educational psychology, reading strategies, teaching methods, and curriculum development.

During the course of this online elementary education degree program, students must have access to a grade K-8 classroom to complete the program assignments, and must be prepared to complete a full-time 16 week student teaching component at the end of the program.

As a Graduate of this online program, individuals will be informed educators in public and private schools and other settings requiring a teaching credential. The student should consult the Grand Canyon University Catalog and academic advisor on current policies and procedures inherent in a teacher-credentialing program.

All applicants must have a bachelor's degree to apply. Due to state requirements, we cannot accept inquiries from Arkansas or Connecticut at this time.
