Description

The Columbia College Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is designed primarily for teaching professionals. The program is based on the three major areas significant to educators: psychological and philosophical foundations; curriculum and instruction in education; methods of measurement and assessment for evaluation. The Program benefits at Columbia College are small seminar-style classes, Expert and dedicated faculty, accelerated eight-week sessions, convenient evening and summer classes and competitive tuition.

The 36 credit curriculum offered at Columbia College includes foundation courses which compromise of Research and Curriculum Design and Integrative Project. Also offered part of the curriculum are support courses, which include Psychological and Philosophical Foundations, Curriculum and Instruction and Measurement and Evaluation. For the remaining courses students have the ability to specialize in former areas or distribute in courses of interest.
