
Description
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Grantham Univeristy was created to prepare its students for a broad range of computer opportunities. The curriculum includes basic coursework in computer technology and the theory of programming languages. Students focus on developing computer-based solutions involving hardware and software components and integration. Concentrations are available in Information Technology and Information Management.
At the successful completion of the program, the student will be able to:
- Design, implement and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs
- Evaluate effective Web page creation, design, and maintenance
- Apply creatively defined computing requirements appropriate to the solution of problems
- Create, enhance, and debug computer software
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, including mathematical reasoning related to computer science
- Effectively communicate and work professionally, ethically and responsibly in a team
