SCHOOL PROFILE |  DEGREES OFFERED

Description

Champlain's Computer & Digital Forensics program enables students with knowledge about the law, the investigative process and computer and network technology to investigate crimes digitally in both the private and public sectors. And, In an age when computers hold the key to solving crimes ranging from accounting scandals to terrorist plots, and when nearly every crime can leave digital evidence, the computer and digital forensics field is wide open for those who want to combine their interests in solving problems and working on computers.

Computers are used in virtually all types of crimes -- sometimes playing a key role in the commission of those crimes, as in financial fraud and identity theft, and at other times serving primarily as repositories of conversations and files. Champlain's Computer & Digital Forensics program enables students with knowledge about the law, the investigative process and computer and network technology to investigate crimes digitally in both the private and public sectors.

Also, Champlain College is partnered with the National Institute of Justice's Electronic Crime Partnership Initiative (ECPI) in the development of electronic crime and computer forensics education curricula.

The accelerated degree programs and courses are designed for non-traditional students who have significant life or work experience beyond high school.
