Description

The bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Concentration in Network Security from Pierce College covers higher-level concepts of network security. Students will learn Linux administration, firewall security techniques, upper level Microsoft design and security concepts, network defense and countermeasures, computer forensics, and disaster planning and recovery techniques. This concentration builds the fundamentals needed to assist students in preparation for the following industry standard certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in Windows2003, CompTIA Linux+TM, Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), and the International Association of Computer Investigation Specialists (IACIS) certification.
