Description
Drexel University's Graduate Intern Teaching Certificate program is exclusively for Pennsylvania residents with a Bachelor's degree who are seeking to qualify for the Pennsylvania Instructional I Certificate.
With completion of one of the online core courses along with the field experience (student teaching) students can obtain a temporary Intern Teacher Certificate which would be issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This makes the program ideal for those individuals who would like to begin teaching in Pennsylvania in as few as 6 months, all the while completing the remainder of the required certification courses.
All application of this program must have a Bachelor's degree from accredited institution, undergrad GPA of 3.0 or higher (grad GPA's will also be considered). GPA's of 2.75 to 2.99 must take and achieve required qualifying scores on the Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Assessments.
