EKU's Bachelor of Science in Correctional and Juvenile Justice provides students with a multi-disciplinary education and a balanced understanding of historical, legal, and theoretical foundations through research findings. The program also enables students with the knowledge of organization and operations of contemporary agencies, present and future trends and issues in the field, as well as the conceptual and interpersonal skills needed to be an effective leader and problem solver.
The field of adult corrections and juvenile justice continues to experience a large growth, which translates into a higher demand for qualified practitioners. This growth, coupled with a continued focus on greater levels of professionalism, has resulted in an emphasis on hiring and promoting educationally credentialed staff. Credits to Complete: 128; 8 weeks; 3 starts per year
All applicants of this program must have completed at least 30 hours of college credit with a 2.5 GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT
