What percentage of people in the US have college degrees? What about those that went to school online to get their degree? Do Americans have more degrees than elsewhere in the world, such as more other developed countries in Europe and Asia?

This is a very interesting question, and one that the answer will surprise you. As of 2007 the United States Census Bureau reports that 27% of the population has attained a bachelor's degree or higher. To take this one step further, 6.9% of the American population has completed a graduate degree or higher. As for where America ranks, while we are not number one we do rank fairly high in the list, it varies each year, but anywhere for 15th to 6th. As for the number of percentage of bachelor's degree that are earned online, that I could not find that answer; however, I did discover that the majority of degrees that are awarded online are master's degrees.
