Vintage Photo of College Golf Class
share it:

It wasn't until around the time that this photo was taken in the early 1930s, that women's golf was simply just an amateur sport that was played only for self enjoyment. Then during the early 1940s, the Women's Professional Golf Association was created to help women move past armature status and compete for professional titles and prizes - unfortunately the organization only lasted five years. Then in 1950 the Ladies Professional Golf Association was charted and ushered in a new era of women's golf - one that thrives and lives on today.

This is an excellent vintage black and white photograph of a college women's golf class - circa 1930.
