Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Indigo Education, LLC (www.distance-education.org)  was founded in 2007 with the intent to provide an incredible platform of tools for finding the right online education for the online student. Our focus is on the student. The founders of Distance Education after years in the online education industry started to see certain needs that were not being addressed by other websites on the internet. One of these needs was a better level of transparency and ability to search and filter through the myriad of online universities choices out there. We thought that if we could provide a place that tied in many different types of useful data we would create a winning formula for one of the best online education websites on the internet. Combining up to date information on the online universities plus for the first time tuition information and costs, a knowledge exchange community to ask and answer questions, online college reviews, and expert commentary the student would be able to make better academic decisions to ensure their success in the online programs they undertake.

The choices for online education today are big, but even bigger is the diversity of the student population out there young and old. Whether it is someone on active duty in the military serving in Iraq, a student in Africa, a single mother, an upwardly mobile twenty something, or a fresh high school graduate, our desire was to provide a place for them to learn about going to school online in a unique way.
