Union is a great place to learn anything! I am a resident of New York State and have taken classes through the State University of NY system for over 20 years. I learned more at Union than in all those years in the SUNY system. The Union programs are largely self directed so you need the ability to be motivated, determined and focused on your education. The professor/mentors are great. They are interested in seeing you grow as a person as you work through your courses. They were always quick to get back to me with any questions I may have had. I came to Union with many transfer credits (which were all accepted!) and needed mostly concentration courses. These courses were not taught by Union instructors but by adjunct faculty who are part of a lactation organization. They were for the most part outstanding! A couple of the Union instructors were pretty good and maintained great contact with students. One instructor (Ethics, Culture & Thought, Capstone Learning Project - all taught by the same instructor) was difficult.
