I completed my associates at Strayer, I took some classes online and a couple in class. I was not satisfied with the online classes or with the online courses. I had to correct the teacher over and over after each test. The advisors are never available and even when they are available they give you the wrong information. I had to pay for two classes that I did not need. I did not get credit for a lot of the classes I took at a different university, the books are expensive and the worse part is that you cannot sell them back because they want a new edition every semester. I compared Strayer with alot of schools before I chose to attend the school. I find that any college is what you make it. Strayer gives you what you need to make a strong impact in your field of passion. Most people who have a problem with Strayer were either expecting to live the "college life" and did not realize this is a college for working adults or they just have a problem with their financial aid. I am in my 4th quarter with Strayer's online program to obtain an Associate Degree in Business Admin. I chose to take online classes because of my hectic work schedule and being a single parent. I am very happy that I made that choice! The office staff is very good about answering your question; if they are not available they return your calls very quickly. One quarter I had death in the family and fell a little behind on my work. I have been working on my Associate's for just over a year now and I have to say that Strayer has been wonderful. At first I didn't want to commit to 4 years, but I will probably stick around and and complete my B.S. Anyone who answers the phone is always willing to go all out to help. If I have to leave a message, I always get a call right back. The online courses are great! You interact with fellow students and the instructors in the discussion forums. Admissions process consisted of submitting transcripts and completed application. Very little counseling or help with identifying and attaining goals. My goal was to become a CPA. This diploma does not provide sufficient amount of credits for meeting educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Florida. Had to figure that out myself. Online university is convenient and the instructors are pretty good. Quality of education is about equal to what is available at a state or community college. Strayer Online is awesome. I can't sit in a classroom, but the courses online were set up to cover modern day experiences such as the fall of Enron, we even had to write papers about the bail out money. This school is awesome Read Full Review

I am a recent recruit to Strayer University. I enrolled in the online university to complete a Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in health care.

The online admission advisor has been extremely helpful. There is a local Strayer campus in my area and several credible local programs. Strayer online option is the reason for my choosing the program.

So far the Online Admissions advisor has been available for any and all questions and aids in communication WITH ADMINISTRATORS, DEANS AND REGISTRARS OFFICES (that has been a negative point in reviews of the program I read prior to my choosing to enroll... Read Full Review

I started my first quarter at Strayer in physical classes on campus. Then I moved for a new job and had no campuses nearby so I made the easy transition to online learning. I have to admit, I felt the in-class curriculum was too lenient. Students were getting away with handing things in late, being unprepared, late, etc. I was doubting the value of my time and money for the education I was receiving. I enjoyed the time I spent attending Strayer Online and never would have been able to obtain my degree in a "brick and mortar" school with my work schedule and home life. I've gotten a good job as a result of the effort. At times, it's a little difficult to get ahold of an advisor but when you do, they go all out to help you. Most of the professors are excellent but I had a couple that weren't that good. But then, you'll find that in ever school. Professors can put their heart into it or just try to skate by. Dropped out after two terms. They raised the tuition and did not bother to tell me, so I was waiting for my book vouchers that never came. When I called up to see where the were, the told the price of tuition went up and that I owed them money. Also, I was told to order books that I did not need and was unable to return them. I brought this up to my advisor and they said they would look into it, but never heard from him again. Also had some issue with some assignments in class and email the professor it took him over 2 weeks to get back to me and even then he just told me the answer and did not help me understand the assignment...
