ONLINE COLLEGE REVIEWS

The online program is easy to follow but the education was average at best. Many of my classes involved teachers that were there to grade papers and that was about it. They weren't active in the discussions and papers were often late to be graded. I even had a teacher that gave me resources that didn't fit the description of the assignment when I told him that I couldn't find what I needed. After I explained why it wouldn't work he gave me another resource that also did not fit the description so I again told him why and he never responded after that. I have been attending Rasmussen for almost 2 years. The experience thus far has been great. The Instructors, admin. financial aid, are all easy to contact and available by phone or email and reply back within 24 hours. The tuition is to be expected when attending online, of course your paying a little extra for the convenience. I have read some reviews making comments that the school is worthless and that you can make the honor roll without even lifting a book. I use to attend a different online school, and I didn't like it. I began to do my research about different online schools. At first I was a bit skeptical about attending Rasmussen. I can get in touch with financial aid and admission adviors quickly. If they don't answer the phone, I can just send them an e-mail. I like the fact that you receive real text books and not e-books. They have a track coach that contacts you weekly for support. I love the school and I am very happy with my decision. Everyone experience is different but mine has been pretty good so far. The biggest problem I have had with Rasmussen online is that it seems they lack having staff to teach the courses! For the first 5 weeks on one of my course- no teacher was even there to grade or provide feedback because the course was "thrown on her last minute" .... this has happened 3 times. The staff that is there and aware that they are teaching a course have been outstanding. Also- they don't take well to you complaining about their instructors (or lack there of). So if you have a complaint you might as well not mention it or you will somehow manage to get written up for disturbing the classroom atmosphere... Read Full Review

I came from ITT with one quarter under my belt for Computer Forensics (98% average). When I found out I'd been lied to considering the application of national credits, I switched to Rasmussen via the recommendation of Greg Hambleton of Utica University Online. In order for me attend Utica, I would have to have an associates degree. He said that Rasmussen was their first choice. I'm at the end of my second quarter at Rasmussen. I've had a bit of trouble with English 1101 due to an inability to make headway with the instructor, but I'm not giving up. I'm taking it again. We butted heads and left the situation amicably... I decided to go back to school and get a degree in computer the reason why I wanted to get into Rasmussen online because it had all the thing that I was looking for what I wanted to do for a living I thought that I pick the right college to go to so I filled out to request information and I got a phone two days later and I got the ball rolling there was a lot of stuff that I had to do online and what made it hard was I did not get all the help that I needed from the school but I was willing to try by myself so when everything went through and the loans were approved I was happy and when school started everything went very smoothly and I... Since attending Rasmussen, I have been able to find a job and start a career in a new field that I had only dreamed of before. The education was thorough, consistent and I felt the instructors knew what they were talking about and encouraged me to dig deeper into my studies. I would recommend this college to anyone.
