I graduated from Ottawa University with a BA in Management in the summer of '09. I was a transfer student previously attending Capella University. Ottawa has a very generous credit transfer policy. All of my credits from Capella as well as from my military service were transferred, including some credits from previously earned industry standard certifications. Good - flexible schedule for working students. used to be inexpensive compare to others. but then again, you get what you paid. Bad - poor teaching pool, only one or two instructors are really qualified for teaching MBA courses, most of them have no idea of the news or trends in real life, and they read you the textbook. Later on near the end of my program I realized the director is trying to make extra money by teaching almost every course she can on top of her job duty. They hire a director who speaks very poor English and they are proud of their HR programs? Glad I am done with and got out... Read Full Review

Ottawa University is the closest that I could find to a traditional State University. The advisors and counselors are not trained to be salespeople but are there just to help the student get throught the admission process. Out of three classes I have taken, at least two have been exceptional. I was surprised to learn the kind of faculty I have had given that nowadays higher education schools are just compete to get your money. For the MAPC program, classes are in person with the exception of one or two. However, I know the school offers online courses for the entire MBA program and undergraduate students... Read Full Review
