The cost is excellent. The quality of education is good. The interaction with students and course mentors (instructors) is maddening. They don't have instructors for the courses, they have mentors that give you tips about how to pass the final assessments. Actual course instructors would be so much better. In the event that you have a question or get stuck in an area, you are told to ask the course mentor. They cant really look at your work or tell you what to put so meetings with course mentors are really them asking you questions in a different way. They really don't help very much. I've done really well in the courses but the one thing that is absolutely horrible about this school is the final assessments. The objective assessments are one long multiple choice test. These things are impossible to study for if you have a life. You really have to commit to 4 or 5 hours a day on some subjects. If you're going to do all of that , you might as well go to a brick and mortar school. The objective assessments are papers and projects graded by an anonymous third party. They send your projects back for revision with comments but you don't get to ask them any questions for clarification or explain why you gave the answer that you gave. Some of the assessments require that you get everything perfect and the going back and forth over one or two answers is a colossal waste of time, especially since it can take anywhere from 1-4 days to get an assessment back from the graders. I was going to go to this school for my post bacc work in education but after speaking with superintendents from several school districts, they told me that this model of education doesn't make sense for teaching as you need the interaction with an instructor, especially when you are demonstrating your ability to communicate with students,. I won't even go into how absolutely rude and surly the bursar's office is. Financial aide is great, so is student services.
