"Excellent Opportunity"

I had been wanting to obtain my Bachelor's degree for many years. I obtained my Associates in 2002 and was unable to find a Bachelor's program that fit my life. I could have attended some that would only be on Saturdays, but that would mean I would work all week and then be in class all day on Saturday (with only a few Saturdays off a year). I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive about the different approach that WGU uses. After doing a lot of research on the school, I decided to give it a chance. I asked a few HR people if they felt the degree was acceptable and they all said yes since it is fully accredited. I feel this is a great program. It allows you to get a degree in significantly less time than most schools. It also taught me a lot more than any of the other schools I have attended. In those schools your teachers gear you towards a final. In this school you have to have a good overall understanding of the content to pass. With 13 years experience in IT, I was not concerned as much with the content as I was with just obtaining my degree. However, I would like to recommend this school to some people that do not have significant experience in their fields and was wondering if anyone out there could give me some information on their experience in finding a job after WGU when there was not a lot of experience to back it up.
