Go"Unaccomodating for students going through difficult times"
I am one class away from gradutaing my MS in Health Informatics but they gave me an "F" grade because the school did not care about my family and medical issues that was going on with me at the time. I explained to my instructor that I am having medical issues and emotional issues as a result of my dad and cousins missing from the Japan's tidalwave. I told her my situation is affecting my ability to turn in my homework on time and that if she could give me an extensions to my homework. She didnt care. Everytime I turned in homework late, she double penalized my grade for lateness from instructor's grade and turnitin's grade. So for the first half of that class I got nothing but an "F" grade for lateness and missing homework. I asked to have an incomplete but was not allowed. I am very dissatisfied with Walden University. I know regular university schools have special accomodations for students going through difficult times. I didnt have any problems whatsoever with this school until I was one class away from graduating the program.
