TOUGH BUT BENEFICIAL Walden University

  • Comments and Experiences

Walden University should not be shrugged off as easy, or be considered a diploma mill. All courses in the Richard W. Riley College of Education Leadership were tough but I have benefited professionally. Walden's research in education was cited at two professional development sessions I attended this past summer. The texts and materials they provide are written by leaders in the field of education. It is a shame that online education isn't taken seriously at all institutions.

It was a great experience even though there were times when I wanted to quit because the coursework seemed overwhelming on top of job and family obligations but they offered the support I needed to push ahead and finish. If the graduation rates are low it is only because people expect it to be a free ride and when they realize it is for real they drop. I would recommend Walden to anyone considering an online school.
