Comments and Experiences


My experience at Walden has been terrific. Earning a Masters Degree in Education at Walden is not for the weak-hearted. I have worked my tail off for the past 2 1/2 years, but it has been worth every minute.

This program is research, writing, and project-based. Resources are current and updated continually. Instructors are experienced and well-trained in the field. Not once did I have to read something and then spit back what I'd memorized in the form of an online quiz or test. I learned a tremendous amount because of it, and my students are reaping the benefits. Walden's philosophy is that the best learning takes shape in the form of synthesis and use of higher-order thinking skills, and their students are expected to demonstrate those skills. The expectations of their learners are set high.

Student services were exceptional. When I needed to talk to a human, someone professional and well-trained was always immediately available.

I have developed some strong connections with other educators from around the globe, and they will likely continue to be a part of my professional network for years to come.
