"An Educated Fool"

I have been enrolled in the Master of Science General Psychology Program at Walden University since March 2005. I decided to attend Walden University because an academic advisor assured me that I would be choosing a school that is committed to proactive social change, student-oriented, efficient and economical. I was informed that I could complete the program in one and a half years based on my level of devotion. Considering that I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Formal Minor in Sociology at a traditional school in two years and my education was my first priority, I did not foresee any problems. I took two courses per quarter, and I followed the Plan of Study (POS) earnestly to ensure that I would graduate within two years. I completed my coursework with a 3.8 G.P.A. in less than two years, and my Thesis has been approved by my chairperson and committee member. However, the Academic Reviewers and Chief Academic Officer have rejected my Abstract several times for bogus reasons, thus I have paid over $17,000 just for the Thesis course. I am in debt beyond imagination without my degree for which I worked extremely hard. Nonetheless, I am no longer an educated fool because I have become wise to the fact that Walden’s mission is not about social change; it is all about the bottom line. Thus, I have surrendered to them because I am mentally and financially exhausted. Really, would anyone choose to attend a University after hearing that a two-year program can possibly take up to four years due to formalities and at the student’s expense? I am still baffled as to why nobody has sued these online Universities because they are clearly a money taking industry.
