I completed a Master of Science degree in elementary mathematics education five years ago through Walden University. It was the best career move I ever could have made. The teachers were experts in their field and the program was rigorous, but I learned so much! I finished the program in 20 months as expected, and since then many professional opportunities have surfaced for me. I have retired from the classroom, but am now working in teacher education and curriculum development. In spite of initial fear and some hesitance because of my age, I went into the masters program determined to finish. I got out of it more than I ever expected to and have no regrets. I am glad I did it.
