"Kaplan (Double) Graduate"
I am a graduate of Kaplan University twice now and I was shocked to read some of the terrible experiences that other individuals profess to have had while attending. I received my first degree in 2004 and went to work right away as a Private Investigator, largely due to the excellent internship I was approved for, by Kaplan, in the Homicide division of the city Police Department. I decided to return to Kaplan and pursue an AAS degree in legal studies to further a career in Insurance Fraud Investigations, and I graduate this month. Other than the normal minor snafus in financial aid, and academic advising, my degree plan ran smoothly, and the cost was no worse than other ecolleges I priced for what is receivable. The financial aid office worked diligently with me to correct the issues and I did not have a problem reaching anyone. As far as the curriculum goes, I have friends that attended prestigious colleges and we had some of the same courses, right down to some of the same materials, equally as difficult. Kaplan is fully accredited, and as a SAC member, I even worked on a project for the HLC while at Kaplan, and they are thoroughly involved. I believe that everyone experiences things differently, but as far as the education for the money and ease, it was well worth it!
