I have almost completed my associates degree through Kaplan. Up until now, everything has been great. The education is at par or better then other colleges and universities. The biggest issue I have is the financial aid department. Now that they taken away individual advisers for students it is like pulling teeth to talk to someone and even then they can't seem to figure out a student's account. I decided to actually sit on hold one day just to see how long it would be before I could actually talk to a person.....1 hour and 10 minutes. Have been waiting 6 days now for a return email from the same department as well. Kaplan really needs to restructure this department so that it runs more smoothly because it is unacceptable. For that reason alone, I may not return for my bachelor degree but choose another school.
