I am somewhat fond of this school, but I also don’t believe it is all it’s cracked up to be. I am military and needed an online school to finish my BS. I chose GCU after hearing wonderful reviews (from mostly in-residence). I think when their online program first started out it was much smaller, more controlled and tougher. I believe now it has gotten too large, and their desire to make money has overridden their desire to teach to their greatest ability. I am thankful for this school; it is, without a doubt, better than some other schools I might have chosen, but it is less than expected.

Pros: Great military program, very easy to use classroom, accelerated courses.
Cons: Very low student-teacher interaction, Academic counselors are less than helpful (must be hounded often), and although I’ve learned a lot, I didn’t learned as much as I felt I could.

Like I said, it is a decent school. If that is what you are looking for, then GCU is for you. If you want more – if you want to be challenged – then GCU is below you. I wish you luck in whichever you choose.
