Go"Excellent Writing Skills Improvement"
The amount of writing (an 8 to 10 page paper every five weeks and a 2-3 page paper in between) was grueling One disappointment I have is the lack of real interaction between students; most students tend write a minimum of responses which leads to a lack of real dialogue on a given subject. I think the lack of responses and email interaction among the students is because it is not required, and most have a sense of distrust toward who they are really communicating. Plagiarism is discussed and stressed throughout the courses so intensely it brings forth a lack of trust amongst students. If you have a good work ethic and are dedicated to creative writing, Ashford is the place for you. It became easy but challenging toward the end to generate these works of art I called final papers. My only regret is the less than perfect grades received on my papers toward the end of my studies. I received a "B" on both final papers in my last two courses which allowed an A- overall for those courses. Without constructive, substantive feedback I could not grow; it's as if the instructors toward the end did not have the time or the dedication to give good criticism. It may or may not be a reflection on the university but are definitely reflections on the individual instructors.
