Colorado Technical University Online - Tough but worth it!!

This school is great but not easy and only gets tougher as time goes on. As a student you have 5 1/2 weeks to finish 2 classes for full time students, but they are flexible and you can do 1 class if needed every now and again. All teachers that I have had have been flexible as well and easy to contact. Live chats are great and offer alot of information on how to successfully complete assignments along with powerpoints used in assignment are posted after each chat. I have attended other schools but this is the only school I have been able to take care of my family and still finish each session... Read Full Review

Walden University - Great Experience Until the Doctoral Study

My experience with Walden up to time I began working on my doctoral dissertation was excellent. Shortly after I began to work on my doctoral study I began to lose momentum and was unable to focus on my topic. I was working full time and had pressures at work but was able to do the minimum work. I am not working this year and things haven't changed. My chair has a laissez faire attitude -- it is all on my shoulders. I spoke to someone who recently completed their EdD at a state university and they told me that doctoral students have "coaches" who have gone through the same experience and help them through the process to completion... Walden University - Excellent program, similar to brick and mortar

I am one semester away from finishing. The coursework is difficult, challenging, relevant, and kept up to date. This is a program only for people who are interested in obtaining a degree similar to that obtained in a brick and mortar school. The workload of this online program is NOT less than a traditional school, so if you can't or won't be able to dedicate that - do not enter this program. The expectations of the professors and administrators are similar to that in a traditional program and the quality of work of students who are able to successfully complete the program is also at that level... Western Governors University - Excellent Experience

I completed the RN-BSN degree in December within 6 months. It was a very positive experience for me from the enrollment counselors to the financial aid department to the mentors. I found the work to be challenging but doable for those who are self-motivated. There are several avenues of assistance if you get off track. My student mentor was very helpful. I will be beginning the MSN next month and have high hopes for another positive experience. WGU offers a good alternative for those who want a reasonably priced, accredited, self-paced program. Ashford University - Quality instruction that's user-friendly

I am on my 5th course with Ashford University and I have very few complaints. My courses are challenging and interesting and taught by qualified folks who know their stuff. Financial aid funding happens for me the way it is supposed to, though I have had to wait a few days for a reply to an email or voicemail from my FA advisor a couple of times. My new advisor takes an average of 2 days to get back to me, but I am sure I am sharing him with a zillion other students, so I understand. If you are a high maintenance type, or are just impatient by nature, this will not work for you... Read Full Review
