Description
The Master of Science in Nursing - Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Management program at Drexel University prepares nurses for supervisory and management responsibilities necessary for building the needed skills for leadership career tracks. Each of the students have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become nursing managers and leaders.
Having been recently redesigned, this program's new focus is on information systems management and evidence-based decision making for the nurse administrator, which are two skills needed for today's high performance oriented nurse executive. The program also teaches nurses on make decisions, how to solve problems, resolve conflict and operationalize the mission and goals of the healthcare delivery system. This program focuses on the development of leadership skills and knowledge in areas such as fiscal management, legal/ethical issues, strategic planning, organization structures and marketing.
All applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (major in nursing) from an NLN-accredited program, GPA of at least 3.0 (applications from R.N.'s who hold a non-nursing baccalaureate degree are considered on an individual basis), copy of RN license.
