Description

The online Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Lehigh University makes up one of the core areas in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, and is committed to providing education and training to undergraduate and graduate students through developing new knowledge and engineering methodology that will serve industry and society at large.

This online program's main objectives are to model and incorporate basic sciences along with the art of mathematics as part of the thinking and problem-solving processes. Also, to design, conduct, and analyze experimental tests of practical systems and products, while striving to understand and appreciate the technical diversity that is required in developing new products/processes. This program focuses on the use this understanding to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, and to develop an appreciation of the contemporary world. All of this while being able to contribute to it in a professional and ethical manner, and to learn how to learn, so that life-long learning becomes second nature.

All candidates to the degree of MS in Mechanical Engineering are required to have 30 credit hours of graduate study, and ME Program applicants should have a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline or a closely related field.
