Description

The Master of Science in Legal Studies - Homeland Security program presents an interesting curriculum that prepares supervisory personnel to tackle the many challenges inherent in the protection of a nation.

This program allows justice professionals, health specialists and legal specialists to concentrate on the methodology of security in this narrow context.

The Homeland Security program focuses on three primary objectives:

  • Develop strategies, plans and programs to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, and reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism
  • Build the organizational arrangements needed to strengthen Homeland Security (HS), including Local/State/Federal, civil-military and interagency cooperationHelp government leaders make immediate as well as longer-term improvements in HS preparedness, by having their students conduct policy development work on "real world," actionable opportunities for progress.

Applicants to this program must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution, 3.0+ GPA, official sealed transcripts from previous under- and post-graduate education. Students with a < 3.0 GPA may be admitted on a conditional basis upon passing the written departmental exam.
