Students desiring to obtain a Master of Science in Health Systems Management must hold a baccalaureate degree and recommended 2-4 years computer systems work experience, or hold a baccalaureate degree in computer or information systems or a related area.
A national plan to create universal electronic medical records by 2015 includes a strategy to increase the use of healthcare information technology (IT) and to create national standards to digitize, store and share healthcare information electronically.
