In the online Master of Science (MS) in Education - Reading and Literacy (For Licensed K-12 Teachers) degree program from Capella University, students will work to develop the skills and understanding that is needed for working with the various levels of literacy within K-12 educational settings.

This unique online reading and literacy program offers students a flexible online option for developing their understanding of developing, implementing, and adapting complex reading curricula to accommodate diverse learning styles.

This fully online degree in reading and literacy was designed in conjunction with the Interstate Reading Association, and will prepare K-12 classroom teachers with the knowledge and the skills that are needed for assessing the literacy needs of their students.

Students in this online education program are typically licensed K-12 teachers who are looking to further develop their students' reading skills as well as implementing best practices in reading instruction at a building or district level.

All applicants must be a licensed teacher, have a regionally accredited Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) and an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent from an international institution.
