While some master's degree graduates may pursue licensure as psychology assistants or technicians, this specialization does not prepare graduates for licensure as an independent, professional counselor or psychologist. Capella University also offers a PsyD specialization in counseling psychology that complements this master's degree.
The Master of Science in Counseling Psychology Degree from Capella University is a 70 credit program. In addition to course work, three week-long residencies are also required for graduation. Tuition is $1,705 per 5-credit course, and $1,350 per week-long residency. There is a $75 registration fee, and a $350 graduation fee.
