Description

One of the fastest growing and strongest fields today is Information systems, and the University of Phoenix's online Master of Information Systems (MIS) has been created to enable individuals with the skills that are needed for obtaining and succeeding in a variety of positions within the Information Systems field.

The goal of this program is to aid individuals in the obtaining the in-depth knowledge of information technology theory and practice that is needed to meet the real world business opportunities and challenges.

The online information technology courses in this program will guide its students in the examination of the many resources that make up the IS field, and will aid them in developing the skills that are needed for managing the various components that make up an organization's information system.

Individuals in this program will study five specific areas, such as:

  • Business Systems Analysis and Design
  • Programming
  • Databases
  • Networks and Telecommunications
  • The Web

All applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Business from a regionally or approved nationally accredited university, cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5, minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.
