Description

Liberty University's Master of Education (MEd) program is offered in two convenient formats: Online and Blended (which combines online learning with campus residency options). In both formats, the MEd prepares you for effective leadership in Christian, public, and private schools. Courses provide specialized preparation for individuals seeking credentials for a K-12 school position or those with a desire to further their education and pursue either an EdS or EdD. Along with core courses, you choose a specialization to gain in-depth knowledge in your chosen field. Specializations include Administration and Supervision, Teaching and Learning, Program Specialist, School Counseling.

There is a 3 credit hour internship requirement, and for the online program, there are no residency requirements for the Teaching and Learning concentration, but all other concentrations have 9-12 hours of residency requirements. This program is approved through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and is a state-approved program for initial licensure (reciprocity with other states) or endorsements (licensure varies by concentration).

The Master of Education from Liberty University is a 36 credit hour program. Tuition is $395 per credit hour, there is a $150 technology fee per semester, and a $50 application fee.
