Grand Canyon University's online Master of Education in Special Education (No IR, No Cert) degree program was designed for those individuals who are looking for a flexible online program that will aid them in gaining a well-rounded knowledge of the education of special needs children in the K-12 settings.

This is online secondary education program does not include IR or Certification, and is ideal for those individuals who are looking to postpone their student teaching, or who are not in search of their teaching certificate.

Ideal for adult learners, this online secondary education degree offers courses that cover a variety of topics, such as in learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and other physical and cognitive impairments.

Graduates of this of online secondary education will have the necessary skills that are needed for working with special needs populations, as well as implement individualized educational plans to accommodate the students' various learning needs.

Students must have access to a K-12 special education classroom to complete the program assignments. The students are also prepared to move into a student teaching/credentialing component with Grand Canyon University at a later date.
