Description
Liberty's Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling program prepares students to serve as staff servant-leaders involved in non-professional counseling of church members and others in a variety of ministry settings, including churches, rescue mission, and shelters.
Courses provide students with a strong understanding of biblical counseling principles and strategies in order to better meet the needs of others. This degree program is well-suited for students looking to meet the requirements to serve as military chaplains for certain branches of the armed services. It may also assist students seeking professional licensure as a counselor, although it does not meet licensure requirements alone.
Liberty University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees.
