Savannah College of Art and Design's Master of Arts in Illustration Design degree program helps students gain the skills and knowledge needed for working in a variety of venues, including:

• Book publishing
• Advertising
• Product packaging
• Internet Design

This program creates illustrators who are skilled in translating concepts into tangible images, and in-turn capturing a viewer's interest.

Students are encouraged to create a substantial variety of work, which is intended for them to create portfolios that can be used in their search for freelance position in the illustration field.

This program has been created in a way that introduce students to not only the theoretical aspect of illustration design, but also the practical side of the illustration business, which includes the presentation of portfolios, marketing and invoicing. The coursework has been constructed in a manner that mirrors the actual process of professional illustration, including working with clients.

All applicant must have a Bachelor's degree, and needs to be familiar with Macromedia DreamWeaver, Flash, Fireworks and/or Adobe Photoshop, Maya and/or 3-D Studio Max.
