Marygrove College's online Master in the Art of Teaching - Reading & Literacy, K-6 has been created for those individuals who are looking to develop into a strong instructional leader as well as become an effective teachers of reading and literacy.
It is an expectation that upon completion of this degree, teachers actively apply these principles: Teachers are committed to students and learning; Teachers know the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students; Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning; Teachers think systematically about their practice and learn from experience; Teachers are members of learning communities.
The program incorporates the Five Core Propositions (principles of teaching) as described by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
To enroll in the online master's degree program you must currently possess a teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree, be employed as a full-time teacher, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher from your undergraduate institution. Not available to residents of Georgia.Accreditation
