Description

Walden University's Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership is now offering the online M.S. in Education - Mathematics (Grades 6-8) degree program for those individuals who are looking for a flexible method of developing the skills needed to teach mathematics at the middle school level.

While in this online mathematics education program, students will work to develop the broad knowledge that is needed for motivating students in developing their mathematics skills.

This program works in conjunction with the the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards, and offer students distance education program that are based in presentations on CD-ROM and videotape with practical exercises using manipulatives and visual aides.

Students in this online education program will develop their understanding of foundational mathematical concepts through collaboration with online study teams.

All applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
