Description
The online Instructional Leadership/School Principal Certification from the University of the Cumberlands is a program that was created to give individuals with a master's degree in education from an accredited institution, and a valid teacher's license.
Participants in this program can earn a Rank 1 certification at the "sixth-year," specialist, or doctoral level, and can also allow students to earn a non-degree certification at the master's level.
Courses that are included in this Rank 1 program include:
- law
- business management in public schools
- human resource management and supervision
- instructional design and curriculum
- education administration
As well as:
- evaluation
- measurement
- assessment
- instructional leadership in technology
- school and community relations
- applied research in education
All applicants must have received their degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, and have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Also, applicants must have completed the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program or have successfully completed the two years of teaching experience outside the state of Kentucky as well as have three years of fulltime teaching experience
