Description

The online Graduate Certificate in Patient Safety Organizations from the University of Illinois Global Campus has been created to aid students in exploring the many facets in patient safety culture in health care organizations in order to create quality health care practices.

The goal of this program is to aid students in gaining the attitude, skills, and knowledge needed to succeed in providing optimal patient care, including aspects not traditionally provided by most health science educational programs.

This is an ideal program for those individuals who are looking at filling the increasing need for health care workers who are versed in designing and implementing new patient safety practices.

This degree enables students with the skills needed for succeeding in a number o f organizations or hospitals.

Applicants to this degree must have a bachelor's degree (any subject) from an accredited institution; and a 2.75 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) computed on the basis of the last 60 hours or the equivalent of the baccalaureate degree. A separate grade-point average will be computed for all graduate work, and then a combined grade-point average is tabulated.
