Argosy University developed the Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership program to address the growing need for highly-trained curriculum supervisors. This program is ideal for students that want to be better instructional coordinators and stronger educational leaders with curriculum as their main focus.

In addition to learning specialized skills, the program prepares students to meet the demands of current educational practice, make research-based decisions, implement instructional technology and respond to ethical and professional issues within the educational community.You will focus your education by choosing a concentration in:

  • Higher Education: Designed for teachers and administrators who are planning to lead large, complex educational institutions and organizations.
  • K-12 Education: Tailored for K-12 teachers who seek to improve their classroom performance, develop their career, or want to shift into an instructional design role.

The Doctor of Education (EdD) in Instructional Leadership Program at Argosy University Online is a self paced program. Students must complete 60 credit hours of course work, made up of 16 courses and 2 residencies, in order to graduate. The interactive residency sessions are designed to enhance student success, provide the opportunity to network, meet faculty, and acquire knowledge and skills that will assist throughout their program.

The residency programs will be offered at various campus locations throughout the academic year. The EdD in Instructional Leadership program generally takes 3-4 years to complete. Tuition is $750 per credit hour, with most courses consisting of 3 credit hours each. There is a $50 application fee, and a $150 graduation fee.
