Certificate In .NET Programming

Peirce College

The Certificate In .NET Programming from Pierce College is designed to provide students with a solid background in the methodology of application development, the justification, design, creation, and maintenance of complex computer systems which benefit a company's bottom line.

Through self-discovery, hands-on exercises, and a running project, students will learn how to decide whether to pursue an information systems project through a business case analysis, create a functional specification document, design and build graphical user interfaces, flow-charting, pseudo-coding, and programming using Microsoft's Visual Basic.NET. Students will also learn ASP, XML, and SQL as part of the broad implementation of the project. Students may apply credits earned in the Certificate of Proficiency to the associate degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Programming and Application Development.
