The B.A. in Early Childhood Education (Birth - Grade 3) is designed to prepare you to become a licensed teacher of infants, toddlers, and young children from birth through age eight. The program is a good fit for current child care workers who hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and wish to become early childhood educators. Unlicensed child care workers, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and those who want to work with and teach young children are also good fits for this program.
This challenging program combines a solid foundation of liberal arts content knowledge along with a comprehensive set of teaching skills to help you become an effective, highly qualified early childhood educator. As part of this program, you will also complete a supervised student teaching component designed to give you invaluable in-classroom experience.
