The Principal's Certification program with Drexel University qualifies participants for state certification as school principals, while providing continued study in the Master of Science in the Science of Instruction degree program. This program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and meets state educational requirements for certification as a principal. Also, this program is in compliance with ISLLC standards, and may be used for certification and professional development requirements in other states.
This program coursework may be used to meet the professional electives requirements of the Master of Science in the Science of Instruction degree program, and requires that its applicants have a Bachelor's degree from accredited institution, undergrad GPA of 3.0 or higher (grad GPA's will also be considered). GPA's of 2.75 to 2.99 must take and achieve required qualifying scores on the Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Assessments.
